Jagger Eaton who finished sixth at the Street Skateboarding World Championships just a few days ago emerged victorious in the men's final at the Park Skateboarding World Championships held in Sharjah on Sunday.

Eaton put down a sensational third run which included landing a flip nose blunt and blunt flip out for a score of 93.00 surpassing Brazil's Augusto Akio, the top-ranked qualifier from yesterday's semi-final, who scored 92.00 in the final at the Aljada Skate Park. Pedro Barros, secured the third position, with Keegan Palmer, the Olympic champion, finishing eighth after early falls on all three of his runs.

This achievement marked Jagger as the first athlete to achieve the street-park world title double. Eaton was crowned street world champion in 2021.

Eaton had this to say about the win, "Finishing street in sixth was a hard finish for me as I'm always trying to go for the win. I showed up this morning just so grateful to make the final with these guys. I mean, these are some of the best in the world. And just to be here with the flag on in first is just unbelievable”.

In the women's event, Britain's Sky Brown claimed victory. Brown delivered a great second run, which included a Kickflip Indy and a frontside 540, earning her a score of 89.63. She then improved her score in the third run, securing a 90.83.

Japanese skateboarder Hiraki Kokona, who won a silver medal in the park discipline at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, finished second followed by Olympic champion Yosozumi Sakura who fell on her second run and had to deliver a big performance on her last run to make it to the podium, which she did with a score of 85.15.

High-flying Hinano Kusaki of Japan finished fourth and is definitely someone to look out for in the future. Hinano had an 84.50 on her first run and looked set to challenge Brown on her final run but fell. In the semi-finals and finals, runs automatically ended if a skater fell, with a best-of-three, 45-second-per-run format used.

“I'm so glad to be back on the podium with Sakura and Kokona. I just had so much fun it was incredible, and landing all three of my runs was crazy - I'm so stoked." Brown said afterward.
