THE 2023 SLS CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR SCHEDULE

The four-stop 2023 SLS Championship Tour will kick off at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena on April 29, followed by events in Tokyo on August 12 and Sydney on October 7 before returning to Brazil for the Super Crown World Championship. More details about the Super Crown Final will be announced in the coming weeks.

This marks the first time in SLS’ twelve-year history that Japan and Australia will host Street League events and it’s the first time since 2019 the league will have more than one international stop on its tour. Established SLS Pros Shane O’Neill and Yuto Horigome expressed their excitement about being able to compete on home soil in Tokyo and Australia.

“I am honored that Tokyo(Japan) will host the SLS Championship Tour next summer. Everyone will be able to see top skaters skating at SLS and I am happy that the world’s greatest contest is finally coming to my hometown,” said Horigome

“I’m really looking forward to finally having an SLS Championship Tour event in Australia. The skate scene here has been growing so much. It only makes sense to host the world’s best street skateboarders. The sports arena environment SLS brings is unlike anything else in skateboarding.” said O’Neill

The 2023 SLS Championship Tour will be fiercer than ever with a brand new winner-takes-all format that will raise the stakes since the first-place skater at each event will now not only earn direct qualification to the next SLS Tour stop final but will also secure their spot in the 2023 SLS Super Crown Final as well.

Sean Malto, who has competed in SLS since winning the Super Crown in 2011 said “Street League’s done a really good job at seeing what’s worked and what didn’t work and progressing and changing it through the years, as skaters in the tour, we’re really excited about those changes, and it brings some light to the league.”
