2022 RIP CURL WSL FINALS ODDS PICKS AND PREDICTIONS

2022 RIP CURL WSL FINALS ODDS PICKS AND PREDICTIONS

That is it, the 2022 WSL Championship Tour regular season has come to an end, and out of the 36 surfers who started the season, only five remain to battle it out at Lower Trestles in the 2022 WSL Championship Tour Final.

So, what went down in the last event at “The end of the road”? Well, the waves started off small, which forced the women to go to turns in the opening rounds, but grew to absolutely perfect conditions only to taper off a bit on finals day. All in all, Teahupo’o delivered, and in the end, it was Brazilian journeyman Miguel Pupo who walked away with his first CT win after a great final against local wildcard Kauli Vaast.

In the fight for a spot in the Final Five Kanoa Igarashi was able to bump out Griffin Colapinto and grab the last spot in the final.

The 2022 Rip Curl WSL Finals will for the second year in a row go down at Lower Trestles, CA and if Kanoa wants to grab his first WCT title, he will first have to beat Italo Ferreira in the opening heat, Ethan Ewing in the second, Jack Robinson in the third and of course the number one seeded Felipe Toledo in the final. A tough task to say the least.

The 2022 Rip Curl WSL Finals waiting period begins on September 8 and runs through to September 16. Check out our favorites and predictions for the WSL Final below.

FAVORITES
Felipe Toledo
Odds:
1.57 - 1.616

Our first pick and favorite to grab the 2022 World Champion title, is of course the number one seeded Felipe Toledo. Not only has Toledo won two events this season he has also surfed in five out of ten finals. Add to that, unlike Teahupo’o, Lowers is a wave that really suits the Brazilian’s style of surfing with its almost skatepark-like qualities.

Italo Ferreira
Odds:
10.50 - 14.00

Our second pick is the 2019 world champion, Italo Ferreira, and even though the Brazilian hasn’t had the best season of his career, with the experience and aerial skills Ferreira posses don’t be surprised if he adds a second WCT title to his already stacked trophy case.

Jack Robinson
Odds:
3.65 - 3.74

Third, on our list is Jack Robinson. The Aussie has besides winning two events this season, surfed in four out of ten finals and proven that he can surf all types of waves. So, even though we have him slightly behind the two Brazilians, backing Robinson can only be considered a good bet.
