2024 SLS PARIS BETTING PREDICTIONS

2024 SLS PARIS BETTING PREDICTIONS

The 2024 SLS Championship Tour is upon us, and Street League continues to improve its format. Last year, we saw the introduction of the new knock-out rounds, and this year SLS will up the stakes even more with a 1.8 million prize purse, four international tour stops, and three new spot-based SLS Apex events. The 2024 SLS Championship Tour will kick off in Paris on February 24.

So, who will walk away with the first win of the year? Let’s drill down and take a look at the players.

FAVORITES
Nyjah Huston
Odds:
TBD

For any other skater, Nyjah’s 2023 competition season would be a huge success with two World Skate Olympic Qualifier wins and three podiums at SLS Chicago, SLS Tokyo, and SLS Sydney. But for Nyjah, not getting an SLS win and failing to reach the 2023 Super Crown Final must hurt, so he will be looking to redeem himself this year. With the risk of sounding like a broken record, it is not a question of if but when Nyjah will win another SLS event. Therefore, the winningest SLS skater of all time comes in as our first pick to win the year's first stop.

Vincent Milou
Odds:
TBD

Our second pick for SLS Paris is Vincent Milou. Vincent continues to improve and impress, getting better every year. Despite suffering an injury just before SLS Chicago last year, breaking his foot at the SLS Games IV, he was able to finish the year with his best SLS result so far, getting second behind Giovanna Vianna at the 2023 Super Crown Final. With his high-scoring individual tricks, and ability to put together a run, coupled with the help of the French crowd, his first SLS win might very well come on home soil at SLS Paris.

Sora Shirai
Odds:
TBD

Rounding out our list of favorites is Sora Shirai. Sora, like Vincent, is a skater who has been on a constant upward trajectory since he first came on the scene. With his unique bag of tricks and coming off a win at the World Skate Olympic Qualifiers in Tokyo back in December, he has what it takes to win in Paris. But first, he will have to get through a stacked heat with T-Puds, Kairi Netsuke, Aurelien Giraud, and Kelvin Hoefler in the knockout round.

SLEEPERS
Dashawn Jordan
Odds:
TBD

Dashawn has put up some good results in SLS over the years, most notably winning SLS Chicago as a rookie back in 2017 and most recently grabbing second at SLS Sydney last year, so he is no stranger to SLS events. If he can make it through the knock-out round, anything is possible, and backing Dashawn could lead to a nice payday.

Kairi Netsuke
Odds:
TBD

The Brazilian storm has been a thing in surfing for a few years now, and it would be fitting to say something similar about the ever-increasing skateboarding talent coming out of Japan. With Yuto and Sora already being established names, and last year we saw both Kairi and Daiki Ikeda burst onto the scene not to mention the literal army of talent in the women’s division.

With his relaxed style and deep bag of tricks Kairi could very well earn his first SLS Title this year, so let’s keep an eye on him. It might happen sooner rather than later.

LONGSHOT
Aurélien Giraud
Odds:
TBD

As our long shot for SLS Paris, we have Aurélien Giroud. We all know that the Glitch has the skills to win any contest he enters, but he has been struggling to put it down when it counts, and he is still chasing that elusive first SLS win. Will it come in front of a cheering French crowd? Stranger things have happened.
